“Bright orange. Mature color tones. Apple strudel and lots of yeast plait with salted butter. Toasted nuttiness. With elegant oxidation that is perfectly present. The acidity is crisp on the palate, the fruit is ripe. A wonderful sparkling wine to accompany food.”

“The two winning wines this year come from Germany. The Reichsrat von Buhl Winery from Deidesheim was unbeatable with its Brut Rosé Prestige 2014 sparkling wine in the category for ‘sophisticated sparkling wine’, while St. Antony Winery from Nierstein also astonished the expert jury with its Wunderschön Pure 2021. Particularly because both wines and their vintages impressively refute a common cliché. That Rosé wines can of course also mature!”
